Yeah, as I tried to allude to before, the multiplication in the vector notation is pretty complicated and not anything obvious. To explain it requires too much Ring Theory. But if you’re an enterprising lad, look up the connection between finite fields and irreducible polynomials. When I get back I can write up an example to show how it works.
